WhoStoleMyName? ("we", "us") helps you check whether a business name is available across domains and social media. This page explains what information we collect and how we use it. We collect as little as possible to run the service.

Information we collect

• Search queries. The name or term you search for, so we can check availability and, if you're signed in, show it in your search history.
• Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile info (name, avatar) from Google to create your account.
• Usage data. Standard technical logs (e.g. request timestamps) used to keep the service reliable and secure.

How we use it

We use this information solely to run and improve the search experience — performing availability lookups, saving your search history if you're signed in, and diagnosing issues. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Third-party services

To check availability we query public registry and platform data (e.g. domain RDAP/WHOIS records and social media platforms). Authentication and data storage are handled by Supabase, and sign-in is handled by Google. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.

Data retention

If you have an account, we keep your search history until you delete it or close your account. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time.
